After nearly a decade running a risk-consulting practice called Northly Risk, and working with some of North America’s largest organizations, we saw a clear trend: clients loved our exercises, and wanted more.
So we leaned in. With nearly 20 years of experience designing high-impact exercises, we launched Frontier Risk, a specialized firm dedicated to delivering world-class exercises and simulations.

Tabletop Exercises
Expert-led tabletop exercises focused on your priority scenarios and decisions, powered by advanced facilitation and innovative multimedia to maximize engagement and achieve your desired outcomes.

Realistic Simulations
Surprisingly realistic simulations designed to replicate real-life incidents and pressures. We use dynamic injects (e.g. video, actor phone calls, news reports), escalating conditions, and practical hands-on activities to create heightened realism and value.

Advanced Functional Exercises
Extended live simulations that fully replicate a real incident. Participants receive realistic, time-pressured injects (e.g. emails, live phone calls) and are prompted to act out their roles in real time (e.g. issuing notifications and hosting live calls). This format delivers deeply practical experience and insights that go far beyond what a tabletop provides.

Crisis & Incident Programs
Alongside our exercises, we offer select advisory support focusing on crisis management, incident management and operational risk in general. This includes: crisis/incident program design, plan/playbook development, training and awareness activities, maturity assessments, program refreshes, and general operational risk advisory support.
